A bit about me

Hey! My name is Edgar, I'm a technology and entrepreneur by heart that studied Aerospace engineer and MBA and has been working mainly as software engineer.

I have over +6 years of professional software and teaching experience. I've worked with serveral front-end and back-end technologies and also DevOps and Cloud ones such as: React, Vue, Node, Nest, Next, AWS, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, MySQL or Docker.

I enjoy my free time trying out new technologies, watching films, listening to good music, traveling and cooking🤩.

Timeline

2024

• Good year to come, started learning Sweedish & Set some objectives
• I keep the reading and the gym on my regular todo list
• Joined a couple of co-workers and created Joia we are doing some cool stuff there
• We are still here

2023

• January 23, decided that I couldn't do that many things at the same time in Nuwe and realised I was burn out (way more than I could see)
• April, left Nuwe and to join FactorialHR and decided to take a "light" year.
• Moved to Sweden
• Learnt Ruby, Ruby on Rails, TRPC, DataDog, and lot about the flow in big companies.
• Started going regularly to the gym again
• Started reading regularly
• Sept, already feeling better, more relaxed and saw the many things that I did wrong.
• Nov, worked on some personal projects but nothing too serious: milista
• Ended up the year with better mental helath, healthier & with many learnings.

2022

• Started messing around with Web3, Go and Python
• Released my personal website where I plan to upload cool snippets and my journey.
• Nuwe provides now services to companies such as CaixaBank, Schneider Electric, Novartis, the Mobile World Capital or Santander Group.
• Nuwe raised, +600K€ between private and public funds
• Nuwe closed over +300K€ in sales.

2021

• I was awared as Entrepreneur advisor by Netmentora Catalonia
• Developed my first micro-front-end architecture for nuwe.io, so far it's working amazing.
• Launched two open source projects.
• Started leading a +4 software developers team.
• Awared as a NovaTalent member
• Took nuwe.io to the next level, raised 115K€.
• Took theEpic React course from Kent. C. Dodds
• Started learning Typescript and working full time with it and AWS

2020

• Co-founded nuwe.io
• Joined the Empren UPC Team as Junior Manager
• Started learning Flutter
• C1-Level | TOEIC Certification
• Started learning Figma and UX-UI

2019

• Started doing sofware end to end freelance projects.
• Joined Twistechnology as a Software industrial enginer (in charge of the I+D team mixing mechanical and software engineering)
• Machine Learning certification by Coursera
• Schoolarship (fully-funded) to take the MBA by Quantic School os Business and Technology
• Started my Aerospace engineering masters at UPC

2018

• My first professional software development experience as a trainee at Roche Diagnostics as an Avanade consultant
• Left my role at UPC Space Program, (University & Private-funded student project) to start my journey as a professional engineer.
• Part time Robotics and Programming lecturer at Fablab
• Part time web developer frealance at UPC
• Started learning React and Node

2017

• Small frelance projects using HTML, CSS, JS and PHP
• Part time Robotics and Programming lecturer at Fablab

2016

• Started learning Web development: HTML, CSS, JS and PHP
• Part time Robotics and Programming lecturer at 6 Costats

2015

• Joined Neslab (student project) later UPC Space Program
• Started learning C, C++ & MATLAB
• Part time Robotics and Programming lecturer at 6 Costats
• Started my BSc, Aerosapce Engineering degree at UPC
• Moved to Barcelona.
